Every Girl Deserves a Community That Believes in Her
A girl’s ambitions should have room to grow. Yet for many adolescent girls in Uganda, poverty, gender-based violence, child marriage and unpaid care responsibilities place education and opportunity out of reach.
At MEMPROW, we believe supporting a girl also means strengthening the community around her.
With support from the Girls Opportunity Alliance Fund, we are building a protective environment where adolescent girls can learn, lead and pursue their aspirations. The project will directly reach 300 adolescent girls, offering mentorship, psychosocial support, leadership development, life skills and educational guidance.
Alongside this work, we will engage families, schools, community leaders and local governments to challenge stigma and strengthen support for girls’ education. More than 1,200 community members will benefit indirectly.
Since 2008, MEMPROW has reached over 30,000 girls. This project continues our commitment to girls’ rights, leadership and wellbeing.
