MEMPROW has developed a multipronged strategy for programme implementation

  1. A capacity building programme for young women which includes:
    • A two weeks’ social survival training activity :

This is a life transforming and empowering training for young women. The Social Survival Skills training equips young women with diverse knowledge on leadership skills, personal empowerment and skills to help them survive in a patriarchal oriented society. since 2008, MEMPROW has conducted 5 workshops in which 171 trainees graduated.

    • A cross generational Mentoring and gender Dialogue Network:
This programme gives space for young women to talk about issues through gender lens. Every month, the young women have an opportunity to meet, discuss and analyze the social, political, economic and cultural structures through which discrimination and violence are manifested. MEMPROW has registered 588 young women attending the monthly dialogues.
  2. A programme for Enhancing Gender Responsiveness of Partner Institutions:

This programme is aimed at mainstreaming gender especially in public and private sector institutions;these are work institutions and educational institutions. Through this programme MEMPROW trained 31 academic staff and 27 teacher trainees for the purpose of institutionalising gender in  institutions of learning.

  3. Research and documentation programme for advocacy: Through Needs assessment surveys with young women, MEMPROW has discovered a number of problems and challenges young women are facing. It is on the basis of this research that the MEMPROW Trainings and workshops are carried out.

  4. Counseling services: Counseling is a cross cutting service in all MEMPROW 's programmes and it aims at providing continuous support to the young women who experience sexual and gender based violence.
