MEMPROW's Objectives

  1. The Overall objective of MEMPROW is to develop capacity of young women to engage more actively in the protection of women’s rights as well as their personal integrity and the transformation of patriarchal environments that sustain discrimination, oppression and gender inequalities.
  2. Specific Programme objectives are to:
    • Enhance young women’s capacity for leadership, social survival and self protection against SGBV through a targeted, systematic well-managed training and mentoring programme.
    • Strengthen gender awareness, sensitivity and responsiveness of institutions of learning so that they are more actively engaged in the protection of young women against SGBV, as well as supporting their positive participation in learning and retention within institutions of learning.

3.To amplify young women’s voices on sexual and gender based violence, through research publications, video documentations and peer learning conferences.
